LID-9 and LID-3 Program

The LID (Leadership in Disabilities) Program is a faith-based, fully-funded leadership residency utilizing experiential education and real-world impact while serving as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for adults with developmental disabilities.

In this living classroom you will:

  • Sharpen Your Spiritual Depth: You won’t just talk about your faith—you’ll live it. By serving Shepherds Campers you’ll gain a profound understanding of God’s heart, learning to see His image in every individual and discovering how to lean on His strength when your own is tested.

  • Enhance Your Soft Skills: This program is a masterclass in the skills that modern employers crave but can’t always teach. You will walk away with a higher level of emotional intelligence, mastering the arts of active listening, conflict resolution, and high-pressure adaptability.

  • Cultivate Your Character: As you navigate the daily joys and challenges of direct support, you’ll build a foundation of patience, empathy, and integrity that will serve as the "moral compass" for your entire professional life.

  • Deepen Your Community: You won't walk this path alone. You will be part of a dedicated community of peers in the same stage of life, providing a unique environment where you can grow alongside others who share your values and your drive for excellence. Guided by experienced mentors, you will receive the targeted feedback and wisdom needed to excel in your ministry role and accelerate your professional trajectory.

  • Earn College Credits: LID-9 (September to May) provides a more intensive opportunity for learning and growth by allowing you to earn credits toward a Certificate, Associates of Science, Bachelor of Science or Master of Arts degree through our partnership with Anchor Christian University with teaching from Arrowhead's qualified staff at no cost.
