Shepherds Camp began 62 years ago when Leo Spencer and Ron & Miriam Tenney had a vision of creating a place for individuals with special needs. The Tenneys and Leo Spencer, all parents of children with special needs, decided to start a camp program so anyone could have a place to explore, play, and be cared for in a Christian environment. A week of camp with 15 campers back in 1962 was the beginning of Shepherds Camp. 

Today, Shepherds Camp offers thirty-six weeks of programming (including specialized 1:1 sessions) with over 350 campers in attendance each year.
